An Open Letter from the Chairman

Dear Batchmates,

It’s been 10 years since our last Reunion and 20 years when we graduated from our Alma Mater. I know all of us are now busy with our lives. Some of us are working abroad, others chose to work here in our country, though some are lucky enough to have a better life and the rest are striving hard just to make both ends meet. Regardless of our situation in life, we have to be together on our Grand Reunion!

As the chairman of our forthcoming reunion this December 2009, I enjoin everyone to make that day truly memorable for all of us. I am soliciting your benevolence of contributing an amount so as to raise funds which will be used to facilitate the holding of the programs for the said event, and at the same time to sponsor the attendance of our batchmates who couldn’t come due to financial constraint. We have one batchmate who sponsored some of his friends from his class, which is a very good idea and we can do the same. All the help that we can provide to get started is needed now. May I also appeal to those who are abroad to send us their financial contribution, the sooner the better!

With our cooperation and unity lies the success of our 20th Alumni Homecoming, so come and celebrate with us on that day and reminisce our wonderful years in high school.

Highlights of the meeting:

a) Officers / Committee
Hindi pa rin kumpleto ang committee, please, I appeal to our batchmates, san ko kayo pwedeng maasahan.? I will be needing your help in the coming months para sa pangunguha ng sponsors. Kelangan malagyan ng mga tao ang ilang committee na wala pang naka assign.
b) Venue
So far, ang Anorestos pa lang ang nagugustuhan na venue para dun sa mga nakakita na sa ating blogspot: http://qnhs89grads.blogspot.com/. We are still open for other suggestions, baka may alam pa kayo at a better price. Otherwise, we will finalize this until next meeting.
c) Contribution (number of attendees per family)
Napag usapan na P1,000 per head tayo sa mga ka-batch natin, plus P500 pesos kung kasama ang asawa ( dapat yung totoo, he he he he) ang mga anak ay libre na. Sa P1, 000 kasama na dun ang isang T-shirt , ka-batch lang ang bibigyan ng
t-shirt, ang asawa ay hindi na, pero kung ang asawa ay ka batch din natin, meron ding T-shirt. Our contribution will cover the expense for Food,T-shirt and other needs. Dito rin natin kukunin ang para sa ating “adopt-a-room” project. Mga BATCHMATES, pwede ng mag bigay ng inyong AMBAG, at Pledges. Pwede rin po ang HULUGAN, maaring dumiresto na kayo sa banko at i-deposit sa account natin, ASIA UNITED BANK, c/o Edith Nazareno- Baronia – The Manager.
d) Bank Account
Monching Leynes (Chairman), Dominic Orencia & Alma Caballero and signatories ng ating bank account.

e) Expenses

· Food - Morning snacks after motorcade
Lunch (depende sa bilang ng mga attendees)

Miscellaneous (drinks, giveaways,etc.)

· “Adopt-a-Room “ Project (kung magkano lang ang malikom natin)

Naiisip namin na tulungan ang mga ka-batch natin, by being our own suppliers, baka may batchmate tayo na nasa catering services, sa kanya na natin kukunin ang food. Anyone who is into shirt printing business or tarpaulin, and our other would be needs, sa kaniya/kanila na natin kukunin ang supply. Nakatulong na tayo sa business nila, natulungan pa nila ang batch by giving a friendly rate, di ba?
So kung sino man jan, please let us know para mapag-usapan natin.

f) Solicitation
The letter of sponsorship is now ready pwede na kayo kumuha ng copy, pwede rin kami ang magbigay, just give the names of your prospects, please see attached copy.

g) Projects
Sa mga dating napag-usapan , we realized na parang hindi feasible yung mga projects, considering the time and resources natin. Our main objective for having a project is to come up with funds, so it ‘s a sort of Fund Raising, na di masyadog mangangailangan ng malaking puhunan. I would like to appeal dun sa ating mga batchmates na alam nila na medyo short and budget nila para makapag-contribute financially, kahit in kind , we need man power para ma materialize yung projects, mga taong kikilos, kahit yun ang kanilang contribution.

h) Souvenir Program
Kelangan namin ng mga old pictures, gamit at kung ano-ano pa na part ng memorabilla natin. Ang plano sa souvenir program ay yung parang yearbook style wherein naka features yung mga old pictures natin up to our preparation ng 20th, wala pang costing para dito, naghahanap pa rin tayo ng sponsors, kaya kelangan na natin mag-solicit.

i) Information Dissemination
Patuloy tayong mag-inform ng mga kabatch natin para dumami tayo. Hindi naman kailangan maka-attend sila regularly ng meeting kahit once lang. Ang mahalaga ay aware sila na meron tayong reunion and they are with us. We need their confirmation and contribution for the preparation

To our batchmates, your suggestions, ideas are welcome, para sa ika-sasaya at ikapag-tatagumpay ng ating reunion. Please feel free to discuss it with me/us, I/we would highly appreciate it. Thank you in advance, and hope to hear from you and we want to see you in the coming meetings.
